Job Description/Purpose:

  • Job purpose is to work within a remote infrastructure support team located in Lodz. As a Network Engineer you will provide responsive, professional and competent technical support for a number of network appliances such as Access Points, Wireless LAN Controllers and network management systems. You will be part of a fast growing RIM facility located in Lodz with focus on establishing global service delivery department.


  • To administrate and maintain customer’s wireless network infrastructure including tasks such as:
  • WLC and AP configuration
  • Configuration backup and restore
  • Firmware upgrades
  • Monitoring network availability & log analysis
  • Troubleshooting of various network issues
  • Network documentation
  • Incident, Service Request and Change Management activities – internal and external communication handled in English
  • To develop an understanding of the Customer’s environment and service requirements to enable successful delivery of the service
  • To follow established procedures, recommend improvements and resolve enquiries, issues or problems. To document actions taken for continuous service improvement
  • To take ownership of issues identified. To co-operate with an account team and/or vendor support to provide technical input into incident and problem resolution process
  • To escalate issues as necessary to deliver required service level
  • Be proactive! Take responsibility for learning about current products, systems builds and infrastructure layouts to support daily business requirements

Skills Required:

  • Very good knowledge and experience in networking and security:
  • LAN (L2 & L3 switches)
  • WLAN (Access Points, Wireless LAN Controllers)
  • TCP/IP
  • HW-Vendors knowledge; e.g. Cisco, Juniper, HP
  • Good knowledge about DNS, DHCP, IPAM services
  • B2 level (or higher) of Spoken and Written English including technical vocabulary

Will be an asset:

  • Knowledge of Aruba, Ruckus and Cisco Meraki solutions
  • Experience in management of large wireless networks
  • Routing protocols
  • Cisco Network Management Systems, such as ISE, CPI
  • Good knowledge about WAN technologies
  • Network Certifications
  • VPN, RAS and Firewall knowledge
  • Excellent approach to Business Model and working under SLA Requirements
  • Strong Customer Relationship – able to establish quick working relationships with customer.
  • Excellent communication – ability to communicate clearly with customers, colleagues and managers.
  • Excellent problem solving – ability to fix issues, being resourceful, and not giving up easily
  • Drive and determination for technologies and services
  • Initiative to constantly improve solution methods, and solution times
